About HelenaÂ
Helena Hains is a motivating thought leader and time management expert for new and first-year teachers. Through her digital courses, YouTube channel, podcast The Present Teacher, weekly emails, and social media posts, Helena empowers young women to design a life and career they are truly passionate about.
In 2018, Helena began her teaching career at just 21 years old. During her job search, she applied to three districts and used the very templates included in this course. Two of those districts called her in for interviews—and both offered her teaching positions on the spot.
Several years later, Helena sought to transition to her dream district, cutting out her 1.5-hour commute. Using the same templates, she landed an interview the very next week and graciously accepted the offer by the end of the week.
Helena has been featured in numerous summits, including The Self-Care Summit, Math in the Middle Summit, Digital Classroom Design Summit, and The Thriving Teacher Summit. She has also been a guest on several podcasts, such as Teaching From the Couch, The Pixel Classroom Podcast, The Resilient Teacher Podcast, and Class Dismissed Podcast.
Combining her experience as a full-time primary teacher and business owner, Helena inspires thousands of teachers worldwide to work for districts where they feel supported and valued. She’s not your typical first-year teacher coach—having faced mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression early in her career, Helena blends mindfulness practices with practical, actionable strategies.
Her mission is to empower new and first-year teachers to implement systems that create success in and out of the classroom, leading them to their version of wealth and fulfillment.
